Chira K9, affectionately named after the dog that gave me a lifetime worth of opportunities was founded in 2025 after relocating from Alberta back to Ontario. In Alberta we owned and operated D&D Training  where we provided boarding, board and trains, day training and private sessions to our clients for 4 incredible years.

At Chira K9 we are a full service facility providing boarding, board and trains, day training and private sessions. When we say full service, we mean it, we adapt our life around the care of the dogs and no task is too big when it comes to your animal whether it means pick up and drop off from your home, taking them to previously scheduled vet appointments, administering medications, grooming, we have you covered.

Currently all dogs will be in our home for training and boarding while our shop undergoes renovations to make it into every pets dream home away from home. Our goal is to provide top of the line care, cleanliness, comfort and customer service to all of our amazing clients and their beloved pets. We are expecting our shop renovation to be complete in the fall of 2026 where we will have fully climate controlled, spacious kennels with outdoor runs, a large area for training or for your pup to stretch their legs during their stay with us in the cold winter months as well as grooming and feeding stations to keep your pups looking and feeling their best. Our facility is located in the beautiful leeds and thousand islands township of southern Ontario where we have 5.5 acres of land dedicated to the dogs where we can have trails walks through the bush, downtime in our spacious dog yards (that's right, your dog won't be confined to a kennel all day like most facilities), obedience and exercise in our 2 acre training field and when it's complete, training and play in our temperature controlled facility.
